Meadow and Kerr fail to make progress in R3

Stephanie Meadow and partner Cristie Kerr are well down the field after the third round of the Dow Great Lakes Bay Invitational.

The duo shot a round of 71 to sit in 28th place on five-under par. That is 12 shots behind runaway leaders Jennifer Kupcho and Lizette Salas who finished with a 64 to follow Thursday's blistering round of 61.

Matilda Castren and Kelly Tan, who also clocked 61 in Thursday's fourballs, are four shots behind in second after a round of 67.

Paulin Roussin and Dewi Weber, who led at end of the second round, are third on 11-under alongside Tiffany Chan and Haeji Kang.

Friday’s action was played in foursomes with Meadow and Kerr picking up birdies at the third, 11th and 17th holes and bogeys at the eighth and 16th – as well as a double bogey on the ninth – with the the final round being played as fourballs.

The tournament concludes on Saturday at the Midland Country Club.
