Lowry loses clubs en route to Wyndham Championship
Shane Lowry's preparations for this week's Wyndham Championship have been disrupted after he lost his clubs en route to the USA.
On Tuesday the Offaly man appealed to Dublin Airport to help find his clubs and was told they were at O'Hare Airport in Chicago.
Lowry - who is now in Greensboro, North Carolina - is hoping to be reunited with his gear ahead of the Wyndham, the PGA Tour's regular season finale which he's one of the favourites to win.
Two weeks ago Leona Maguire was in a similar predicament when her club were lost on a journey from Dublin to Geneva.
Maguire was heading out for the Amundi Evian Championship but she could not locate her golf bag on arrival to Switzerland.
The Cavan golfer eventually did get her clubs back in time for practice. She finished in a tie for 65 on two-over-par, 19 shots behind the winner Brooke Henderson.
