McLaren launch MCL36 ahead of 2022 Formula 1 season

McLaren have revealed their 2022 Formula 1 car, the MCL36, with Lando Norris and Daniel Ricciardo surely eyeing victories this coming season at the wheel of it.

The Woking-based team had a positive 2021 to cement the progress they have made in recent years and will be now hoping that 2022 is their best season for several years.

Indeed, last campaign saw them return to the top step of the podium with victory at the Italian Grand Prix, whilst Lando Norris had an excellent season with a number of top three finishes and also a contender for ‘best of the rest’ in terms of drivers behind Max Verstappen and Lewis Hamilton.

Both he and Daniel Ricciardo will be looking for 2022 to be even more successful, then, with new rules and regulations introduced to the sport for the coming year that have the aim of generating closer racing throughout the pack, and also provide the opportunities for the running order to be shaken up.

Certainly, McLaren will want to be back challenging up at the sharp end after several years away from regularly competing for victories, and this is the machine they will hope can help them do it – it’s certainly a nice looking bit of kit for starters!
