Maurizio Sarri insists Celtic and Feyenoord clashes are massive as he concedes Lazio are in Champions League 'trouble'

Lazio boss Maurizio Sarri has conceded his side are '"in trouble" in Celtic's Champions League group after launching an attack on the commitment of his players.

Celtic are bottom of their section despite collecting their first point against Atletico Madrid in a thrilling 2-2 draw in Glasgow's east end. They are five points behind leaders Feyenoord at the halfway stage, who comfortably beat Lazio in the other game in the group this week.

Lazio are in third place and irritated Sarri wasn't happy at the way his team collapsed in the De Kuip atmosphere, where there were no away fans. He said: "We're in trouble now and if we don't give at least 101 per cent in the remaining games, it will remain that way. We were very submissive. You know the atmosphere here is aggressive. But we were still anxious. I expected a lot more personality from my players.

"Feyenoord clearly have three or four top-class players, we don't. Now we have two home games and we have to try to make the most of them. In a round of six games, it is problematic if you lose one. But it's far from over and we are only halfway through the group stage. In two weeks we will play at home against Feyenoord. We will have to do much better. Otherwise, we will not be in the Champions League."

And Feyenoord hero Santiago Gimenez reckons his team could be dark horses to go far in the Champions League after netting a double. The Mexican ace was suspended for Feyenoord's first two games including against Celtic, but grabbed a brace against Lazio to take his tally to an impressive 15 goals in just ten games for his club this season.
