Mathias Kvistgaarden to Celtic transfer option resurfaces with 'pittance' pledge as Tanner Tessmann timeline named

Brondby director of football Carsten V. Jensen has admitted the club could sell Mathias Kvistgaarden this summer amid Celtic's long-standing interest.

But he has warned suitors they won't land the Danish striker for a "pittance". The forward has been on the Parkhead agenda over the last year with an offer worth more than £4m reportedly knocked back last summer. The 22-year-old has publicly stated that he did not hold any talks with the Scottish Premiership champions - but refused to close the door on a potential move to the club at some stage.

Now interest appears to be escalating once again with the likes of RB Salzburg joining Brendan Rodgers' side in the race for a deal. And speaking to Viaplay, Jensen admitted there would be interest in the key men at the club: "It goes without saying that there is interest when we have a team with such talented players. As I said, we now have a strength in that we can keep the group together and are not forced to sell - and not for a pittance at all."

Another incoming that has been floated is Tanner Tessmann. The 22-year-old was a standout for Venezia in Serie B last season and has already seen a move to Inter collapse this summer.

That is said to have put clubs across Europe on high alert, including the Scottish Premiership champions, Brentford, Torino, Parma and Como. But Gazzetta dello Sport report that the midfielder is in no rush to make a decision on his future.

The American midfielder is set to represent his country at the Olympics and is it claimed he will not make a final decision until returning from the tournament. The earliest the USA could be knocked out is August 3 if they were not to progress through to the quarter-finals.
