Marsch drops £25k-p/w disaster, huge call made on Kalvin Phillips: Predicted Leeds XI - opinion

Leeds United make the trip to Wolves tonight as they look to record back-to-back wins in the Premier League for the first time since mid-January.

The Whites left it very late to beat fellow relegation battlers Norwich City last time out at Elland Road, but Jesse Marsch’s side got the job done in what was undeniably a must-win game for the hosts.

Tonight’s clash against Wolves represents a different test and far tougher opposition than what they faced in the Canaries, with Bruno Lage’s men currently contesting for one of the European spots for next season.

Marsch has been handed a couple of very positive lifts on the injury front though, and with that in mind, below is a look at how Leeds might line up when they take on Wolves at Molineux on Friday night.

In goal, Illan Meslier will be hoping to pick up where he left off against Norwich, with the Frenchman using his face to make a point-blank save to deny Teemu Pukki a dramatic equaliser.

The back four could see one significant change, with the £25k-a-week Pascal Struijk dropping out of the starting line-up and Robin Koch coming back into the fold in his more natural centre-back role. The Dutchman hasn’t been at the races this calendar year and could do with being taken out of the firing line.

Adam Forshaw and Mateusz Klich will resume their central midfield partnership, but Kalvin Phillips’ return to the matchday squad gives Marsch a massive boost not only for tonight, but for the rest of the season too.
