Leeds United: Jesse Marsch's class interview after Wolves comeback
Jesse Marsch’s Leeds United are developing a habit of scoring late winners that will do their chances of staying in the Premier League no harm.
Last Sunday, Leeds scored a 94th-minute winner against Norwich City and they were at it again on Friday night with a thrilling comeback against Wolves.
Having trailed 2-0 at half-time, Luke Ayling’s goal in the 91st minute secured a memorable victory for the visitors as they attempt to secure their top-flight status.
It’s not been an easy season for the Yorkshire outfit but Marsch’s arrival appears to have injected a ‘never quit’ attitude into the squad.
Raul Jimenez’s red card early in the second half gave the visitors the belief they needed and two goals in four minutes from Jack Harrison and Rodrigo levelled things up.
It set up a pulsating finish and Leeds sealed all three points late on when Ayling reacted quickest to a loose ball inside the box and smashed it home.
