Marcus Rashford reveals Manchester United dressing room rule that left players ‘fuming’

Marcus Rashford has revealed Manchester United players are forced to change who controls the music if they lose a match.

Players are known for blaring out tunes in the dressing room before and after a match to build atmosphere ahead of a game. Every club and set of players has a different approach as to who manages that.

Rashford has revealed that United operate a policy of rotating the person in charge if the team then loses. Jadon Sancho is frequently on the aux but has to relinquish control if they don't get a positive result.

"Sometimes it is Sancho but then we have a rule," Rashford told The Overlap. "If someone plays the music and we lose the game then they're off.

"We have ended up listening to some Portuguese music and winning every week. The English lads are fuming! (Ashley) Youngy used to have a playlist and everyone picked two songs."

Rashford also discussed the toughest Premier League opponent he's faced. He went for Manchester City rival and England team-mate Kyle Walker. "You have to try and catch him off-guard or in the wrong position, but even then he can recover," he told The Overlap. "I just try and drift into places where he can't drift and he has to pass me on.

"His physical capabilities are ridiculous. I try and drift into places where he has to pass me on and when he does I walk back away from the defensive midfielder."
