Three key Manchester United questions ahead of Premier League opener vs Wolves

Manchester United have a week to go until their Premier League season gets underway but there are still a few questions for Erik ten Hag to answer ahead of their home game with Wolves.

The Reds began to close the gap to the title race as United secured Champions League football and lifted the Carabao Cup at Wembley. The additions of Mason Mount, Andre Onana and Rasmus Hojlund have helped fuel the idea that the club may be sufficiently strengthened to compete for top spot, either this season or in the near future.

There will be plenty of anticipation in the air when United finally line up against Wolves at Old Trafford but there are several puzzles that Ten Hag must solve, prior to kick-off.

The pair have continued to battle it out over pre-season, with Wan-Bissaka starting against Real Madrid but his Portuguese counterpart replying with a stunning goal against Borussia Dortmund.

Dalot was named in the stronger starting XI during United's friendly double-header over the weekend but produced a disappointing display against Lens, opening the door for Wan-Bissaka to reclaim his starting berth.
