Marcus Rashford Man United transfer: Barcelona issue, Amorin stance, loan move, agent meeting

Manchester United attacker Marcus Rashford looks more likely to depart the club than stay in the January transfer window with a number of teams interested.

The striker has admitted that he would consider a move away from Old Trafford. After being axed by Ruben Amorim from his squad this season, Rashford hasn't played for the Reds since the 2-1 win over Viktoria Plzen on December 12.

A number of clubs have been linked with a move for Rashford since the January transfer window open. With uncertainty over his long-term future at Old Trafford, the England international could be likely to depart on loan.

Barcelona entered the race for the 27-year-old with reports they will go 'all out' to bring him to the Nou Camp. SPORT claim that sporting director Deco has decided a move would be viable this window.

However, as is the case with any potential deal, Barca will have to free-up space in their salary to afford Rashford.

Rashford's agent and brother, Dwaine Maynard, reportedly flew to Italy the meet representatives at Milan over a potential half-season loan. Sky Italy claim the Serie A side have explored the possibility of a loan with an option to buy.

Serie A sides AC Milan, Napoli and Juventus have all been linked with a loan move for Rashford. Juve have seemed to be the most likeliest, though Thiago Motta's men do also like Joshua Zirkzee.

Rashford rejected a move to Saudi Arabia in hope of staying in Europe and giving himself the best chance of playing at the 2026 World Cup.
