Marcus Rashford can help Manchester United expose known Bayern Munich 'weakness'

Manchester United have a not-so-secret weapon to unleash at the Allianz Arena on Wednesday night.

Upon their impending return to the Champions League this season, excitement is tinged with trepidation as they prepare for what is, arguably, the toughest task in Europe right now; gunning down the great Bayern Munich with close to 70,000 Bavarians breathing down their necks. But with that comes a golden opportunity.

Erik ten Hag, who served as Bayern II's manager under Pep Guardiola for three seasons, is better placed than most to understand what it might take to get a result. He also knows United have one of the most dangerous players on the planet, with inside knowledge of one "weakness" that Marcus Rashford will attempt to make a mark over.

A quick glance at the Bayern team sheet on Wednesday night - and the star-studded names on there - will flag-up familiarity via word association. United really are back in the big time.

Harry Kane, prolific. Kingsley Coman, blistering. Joshua Kimmich, immense. Bayern are, predictably, formidable once again this season and it's easy to see why they are among the favourites.
