Manchester United Youngster Alejandro Garnacho Scores Another Incredible Solo Goal

Manchester United may have disappointed this season but at least fans can get excited about the future after another stunning solo goal from youth team player Alejandro Garnacho.

United’s U18 side beat Everton 4-1 in the FA Youth Cup on Wednesday, with highly-rated winger Garnacho rounding off the scoring with the pick of the goals.

After collecting the ball deep in his own half from an Everton corner, Garnacho sets off in a foot race down the left wing with Toffees defender Mathew Mallon.

The 17-year-old Spaniard comfortably beats his opponent for pace and works his way into the area, where he then produces a smart finish to beat Everton goalkeeper Patrick Nash.

He then proceeds to perform Cristiano Ronaldo’s trademark ‘Siu’ celebration in front of the watching supporters at Old Trafford.

The win sees United progress to the sixth round of the competition, where they will face Leicester.

It is not the first time that Garnacho has scored a spectacular goal against Everton.

Earlier this season, the Spaniard netted in a 4-2 win over the Toffees in an U18 Premier League match.

Picking up the ball up in central midfield, Garnacho drives forward before unleashing an unstoppable shot past the goalkeeper from the edge of the box.

He has now scored seven goals and provided four assists in 21 games for United’s youth teams this season.

The Spaniard, who joined United from Atletico Madrid’s academy in 2020, penned his first professional deal at Old Trafford in July after a string of impressive performances.

He took to social media to express his delight with his new contract, writing: “Proud day for me and my family.

“Thanks to everyone who has helped me get to this moment.”
