Manchester United will continue their preparations for the Europa League clash against Sheriff Tiraspol after their Premier League fixture with Crystal Palace was postponed.

Football across England was cancelled over the weekend following the death of Queen Elizabeth II on Thursday.

As a mark of respect, both the Premier League and the EFL made the decision to postpone fixtures.

It means that United were denied an opportunity to try and extend their winning run in the Premier League to five matches. Instead, however, it allowed manager Erik ten Hag to take stock of the season so far and continue putting plans in place for the clash with Sheriff later this week.

The Reds lost their Europa League opener last Thursday evening, going down 1-0 to Real Sociedad at Old Trafford, meaning they are under pressure to get their first point[s] on the board as soon as possible. Ten Hag's men are the favourites to win Group E and progress to the knock-out stages of the competition with minimal fuss.
