Manchester United will continue their preparations for Thursday evening's trip to Brighton as they look to further cement their place in the Premier League top four.

Midfielder Scott McTominay could be back in the matchday squad for the trip to the AMEX and he posted an encouraging update on his social media. Alejandro Garnacho could also be involved fresh off the back of a new five-year deal, which he signed last week.

Elsewhere, the potential takeover of United continues to rumble on with reports that Sir Jim Ratcliffe would want immediate control of transfers once he is handed the majority stake he wants.

Sir Jim Ratcliffe would demand immediate and full control of transfers, should his big for a takeover of United be accepted, according tothe Telegraph.

Third and final bids were submitted last Friday, with Ratcliffes thought to be the only one that values the club above £5bn. But the INEOS owners bid could also include keeping Joel and Avram Glazer in different roles at United.
