Manchester United transfer news LIVE plus Erik ten Hag comments and Paul Pogba latest

Manchester United can put their feet up this Saturday and Sunday afternoon as their rivals take part in the FA Cup and Premier League.

Unable to win a trophy this season, United were eliminated from the world-famous competition by Middlesbrough and, due to fixtures elsewhere, will not continue their top-four charge. Arsenal have an opportunity to edge further ahead in that pursuit when they meet Aston Villa.

Arsenal visit Villa Park on Saturday lunchtime (12.30pm). Victory there would move them four points clear of United and, at that stage, they would still have a game in hand.

Away from the field, United have made Erik ten Hag their preferred managerial candidate and the highly-rated Ajax coach was prompted about that interest during his latest press conference. Paul Pogba is, meanwhile, edging closer to the exit door as speculation over his future rumbles on.

Keep track of the latest news, views and transfer rumours with dedicated updates below.

Needless to say, there is interest in this one from a betting perspective, too.

Erik ten Hag - 2/1
