'Out of our hands' - Fulham's Marlon Fossey making Bolton Wanderers transfer chances assessed
Ian Evatt is confident that Bolton Wanderers are in a good position to try and sign Marlon Fossey again in the summer from Fulham after the defender's season was cut short by injury but admits the decision is ultimately down to the player and out of the club's hands.
Fossey has been a revelation since joining Wanderers from the Cottagers on loan in the January transfer window.
He has scored once and notched five assists in 16 games for Bolton, but his loan spell has essentially come to a premature conclusion due to having suffered a torn meniscus in his knee.

That will rule him out of action for the rest of the season, which is due to conclude at the end of April, and Fossey will have an operation on the issue today.
He limped off towards the end of last weekend's loss to Plymouth Argyle, which has proved to be the final appearance of his Bolton loan spell.
Evatt has made no secret of the desire to sign Fossey again in the summer, which could be a permanent deal or possibly another loan.
The defender has another year left on his contract at Fulham, who are poised to become a Premier League side under Marco Silva again after being the runaway leaders in the Championship.
Evatt believes that could be a factor in trying to get Fossey back and believes Wanderers would be a good home for the Fulham defender, who has been well received by the fans and the club.
And should Fossey be at Wanderers next season, Evatt believes he is a player who can go on the journey with Bolton as they continue to progress up the English football pyramid.
