Incomings at Manchester United have been thin on the ground so far this transfer window but that looks to be coming to an end following Tuesday's developments.

United look to be close to sealing a move for Feyenoord defender Tyrell Malacia. Ligue 1's Lyon looked to have the deal wrapped up but it appears that United have swooped in at the last minute to tempt him to Old Trafford.

Malacia is no stranger to Erik ten Hag having featured against him while the latter was manager of Ajax. Elsewhere in the transfer window, United are edging closer to a deal for Frenkie de Jong.

Barcelona appear to be still holding out for an overall fee of around €75m from United. However, sources close to the negotiations claim that they are making 'good progress'.

Manchester United are continuing to progress in protracted negotiations to sign Frenkie de Jong from Barcelona.

Barcelona are holding out for an overall fee of around €75million and United sources say the deal has still not been concluded as there is "still significant complexity to work through".

Sources privy to discussions say United have made "positive progress" while Spanish sources add the deal is closer seven weeks on from when United first contacted Barcelona about De Jong.
