Manchester United transfer news LIVE Maguire and Ronaldo latest plus Leeds vs Man United team news

Manchester United will have their final preparations today ahead of facing Leeds United on Sunday.

Ralf Rangnick will be hoping his side can make it two wins on the bounce at Elland Road after the club's three-game winless streak came to an end against Brighton on Tuesday.

It's certain to be a raucous atmosphere in Yorkshire after Leeds fans were robbed of the chance to see the match last season due to the pandemic.

United will be boosted by the return of Raphael Varane to the squad as well as the possible comebacks of Eric Bailly and Nemanja Matic, who have both returned to training.

However, Edinson Cavani remains sidelined due to a stomach bug as well as his groin injury and Tom Heaton is also sidelined.

Leeds, meanwhile, could be without seven players as Liam Cooper, Kalvin Phillips, Stuart Dallas, Junior Firpo, Sam Greenwood, Leo Fuhr Hjelde and Patrick Bamford are all unavailable.

Follow throughout the day for the latest United news.

Manchester United captain Harry Maguire has rubbished claims of a dressing room battle between himself and Cristiano Ronaldo over the club captaincy.

Reports in the national media have claimed Maguire and Ronaldo are embroiled in a power struggle over the captaincy at Old Trafford.

However, Maguire, following in the footsteps of Marcus Rashford, who, earlier this week, rubbished claims about unrest in the camp, has denied the speculation, insisting there are no issues between himself and Ronaldo.

Here's what he said.

Harry Maguire will remain the Manchester United captain at least until the end of the season.

Maguire's poor form this season has led to questions over whether he should continue to lead United, particularly given the return of Cristiano Ronaldo.
