Manchester United transfer news LIVE Bayern 'hijack' Mount, Caicedo 'interest' and Onana latest

Manchester United are waiting for a breakthrough in the transfer market as negotiations for Mason Mount continue to drag on. The club have seen three bids rejected by Chelsea, who want to find a resolution.

Mount is out of contract next summer and United are reluctant to push their offers much higher. Chelsea know Mount wants to go and therefore need to find a solution as they bid to solve their Financial Fair Play issues.

Reports on Saturday night suggest the two clubs have reached an 'impasse' and United could therefore look at alternative targets. Moises Caicedo has been linked as a possible option though Brighton & Hove Albion will not let him leave cheaply.

Bayern Munich have now been linked with a move Mount. He worked with Thomas Tuchel at Stamford Bridge and the German club could make a play for his signature.

Plus, David de Gea is yet to sign a new contract and the goalkeeper potentially leaving the club, a new shot-stopper will also be needed. Inter star Andre Onana is the latest name in the frame there having worked with Erik ten Hag previously.
