Manchester United transfer news live Martinez injury updates as Reds 'set' huge Greenwood price tag

There isn't long left to go in the final international break of the season and Manchester United's return to action is on the horizon.

The Reds face Brentford on Saturday in a game they surely must win if they are to keep their hopes of qualifying for next season's Champions League alive.

Erik ten Hag will be hoping to welcome back some key players over the coming weeks. One player whose absence through injury has been felt most is Lisandro Martinez. The Argentina star is expected to return to training at Carrington this week and there's hope he could even be involved against Brentford this weekend.

Away from the doom and gloom of the injury front, United are preparing for what promises to be a vital summer transfer window, as INEOS look to make their mark at the club. We'll bring you all of the very latest transfer news and gossip as we get it.

The 22-year-old's time at United was ended after the club confirmed it would be best for him to continue his career away from Old Trafford last summer. However, Sir Jim Ratcliffe has since revealed his team are yet to make a decision on Greenwood.

Atletico have been regularly linked with a move for the United loanee, though they're claimed to have been 'put off' by the figure they'll reportedly have to pay to sign him.
