Manchester United transfer news LIVE takeover updates plus Andre Onana and Mason Mount latest

The transfer window is officially open and Manchester United will be hoping to make some big additions to their squad as they look to build on their impressive first season under Erik ten Hag.

MEN Sport understands the Reds will be focusing on outgoings as much as incomings this summer, with the uncertainty surrounding the ongoing takeover saga meaning it's unclear just how big Ten Hag's transfer kitty will be.

The Dutchman revealed recently that the protracted takeover saga wouldn't impact his summer business, though it's expected sales will be a necessity if Ten Hag is to add the quality needed to his squad.

A striker and a younger midfielder are definitely on the club's radar, though they may also be seeking a new first-choice goalkeeper.

As things stand David de Gea will be leaving Old Trafford at the end of this month, despite United releasing a statement confirming talks over a new deal were ongoing.

MEN Sport understands it is no longer a certainty that the Spaniard will extend his 12-year association with United, and a number of possible replacements have already been mooted.

Today's big talking point: Do you think United should keep De Gea? Have your say here.

Having returned to United in 2016 for what was a world-record fee at the time, Pogba believes the price the club paid for him meant he was given 'a label', a situation he described as 'quite sad'.
