Manchester United transfer news LIVE Cristiano Ronaldo updates plus Man United deadline day reaction

Manchester United beat Leicester 1-0 on Thursday night, hours before the summer transfer window closed.

United defeated Leicester at the King Power Stadium and Jadon Sancho's first-half goal proved to be the matchwinner. United were never threatened by the hosts throughout the match and they looked comfortable and in control across the full 90 minutes.

Four of Ten Hag's signings have Eredivisie pedigree, including Eriksen who came through Ajax's academy.

Elsewhere, Ethan Galbraith, James Garner and Tahith Chong left the club on deadline day.
