Despite missing out on priority target Frenkie de Jong - in what was a very public pursuit - United did strike up deals for Tyrell Malacia, Christian Eriksen, Lisandro Martinez, Casemiro and Antony, while Martin Dubravka was also brought in from Saudi-backed Newcastle to offset Dean Henderson leaving for Nottingham Forest.

Malacia, Eriksen and Martinez are among those to have hit the ground running after touching down at the club as they have quickly become mainstays in the starting XI, while Antony scored on his debut and has been given more minutes by Ten Hag in two early-season Europa League games.

We have many meetings, we have to improve the structures in and around the club. We will also look to the window in January or next summer already... but also to improve our ways in playing by making plans.
