Manchester United transfer news LIVE deadline day updates as window shuts

It's been a long time coming but the day has finally arrived. It's transfer deadline day.

Manchester United have managed to turn their summer around after a bleak start by bringing Tyrell Malacia, Christian Eriksen, Lisandro Martinez and Casemiro into the club, as well as the impending arrivals of Antony and Martin Dubravka.

Though it's not expected to be a hectic final day of the window for United, it is understood that the club have held talks with Barcelona over a possible loan move for right-back Sergino Dest.

Erik ten Hag said on Wednesday that he believes United's business is done, though. "I think so, it will be for this window the end but when there is a great opportunity we always have to be alert at this top club."

There are still question marks over Cristiano Ronaldo's future, James Garner is heading to Everton and there could potentially be some more loan departures before the window closes at 11pm. United also face Leicester City this evening.

Antony is already in Manchester to finalise his £85.51million transfer from Ajax and Newcastle goalkeeper Dubravka is set to arrive as back-up to David de Gea and Tom Heaton.
