Manchester United to battle Chelsea and Liverpool for Moises Caicedo plus more transfer rumours
Manchester United remain interested in a summer move for Moises Caicedo despite the midfielder recently signing a new four-year contract at Brighton, according to reports.
Caicedo's new deal, which has an option for the Seagulls to extend for a further 12 months, was confirmed on Saturday with the Ecuador international then helping his side to a 4-0 win at home to West Ham. Arsenal failed with their persistent hunt of the midfielder in January, having two bids worth up to £70million rejected in the final days of the window.
Mikel Arteta's side are said to have moved on from Caicedo, with the Gunners eyeing a big-money move for Declan Rice. But the Telegraph reports that United, Chelsea and Liverpool all remain keen on a summer move. Central midfield looks set to be the in-demand position in the Premier League this summer, with all of the league's top clubs hoping to strengthen the position.

The report adds that from Brighton's perspective, a fresh contract will protect Caicedo's value from diminishing, with his previous deal having run until 2025. The south coast side have become notorious for their unyielding approach to selling players, particularly to fellow Premier League outfits, and will likely demand at least the £70million rejected earlier this year.
