Manchester United tipped to reignite interest in Chelsea star as Mason Greenwood made 'priority'

Chelsea star Marc Cucurella is reportedly back on Manchester United's radar as part of Sir Jim Ratcliffe's major changes this summer.

United's summer plans are set to involve bargain deals and smart recruitment in Ratcliffe's first window at the club. Failure to qualify for the Europa League or the Europa Conference League will mean the club will miss out on key revenue from continental competitions.

However, plans and meetings are already taking place ahead of the upcoming transfer window and according to TEAMtalk, Cucurella is one of the names being discussed. United are said to have the Spanish defender back on their radar following initial interest in January.

Although no active talks are believed to be ongoing at the moment, United are keeping an eye on Cucurella's situation. The 25-year-old joined Chelsea from Brighton & Hove Albion in 2022 and is under contract until 2028.

Elsewhere, Napoli have reportedly joined the race to sign Mason Greenwood amid interest from Atletico Madrid and Juventus. The 22-year-old is a man in demand this summer with two Premier League outfits also reported to have made contact with United over the player.

According to Corriere dello Sport, Napoli are aware that the 22-year-old will be available for transfer following his loan spell at Getafe. It is said that president Aurelio De Laurentiis has made Greenwood a 'priority target' for the upcoming window as they look to challenge for the Serie A title again, after falling short to Inter Milan this season.
