Manchester United takeover latest as Sheikh Jassim could see demise of €100m vow

Manchester United fans remain frustrated as the takeover saga continues to rumble on.

The Glazers are continuing to mull over the two offers which are on the table for United. Sheikh Jassim bin Hamad Al Thani is proposing a 100 per cent buyout from the American owners, meaning they would leave the club following the completion of the deal.

Sir Jim Ratcliffe, meanwhile, is proposing an approximate 60 per cent offer which would leave the prospect of the Glazers remaining at the club on the table. While the indecision continues, Erik ten Hag, his players and the fans remain in the dark about the future of the club.

The Glazers announced their decision to 'seek strategic alternatives' for the club in November, with Qatari banker Sheikh Jassim bin Hamad Al Thani and British billionaire Sir Jim Ratcliffe quickly emerging as frontrunners to purchase the club. And reports have suggested Sheikh Jassim could offer roles at the club to United legends should he become the club's new owner.
