British billionaire to "restructure" offer

Sir Jim is preparing a "restructured" offer to try and speed up the takeover process at Old Trafford.

That's according to reports from Bloomberg as the saga continues to rumble on 10 months after the Glazer family announced a "strategic review" of their ownership. As things stand, there has been no proper breakthrough as the Americans continue to mull over formal approaches from two main bidders.

Proposals headed up by Qatari banker Sheikh Jassim and Ratcliffe have yet to be accepted by the Glazer family. The current offers are understood to be worth over £5billion.
