Manchester United's best XI when all players are available

Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag is yet to play his strongest starting XI this season.

Injuries and late additions in the summer transfer window have meant that fans are yet to see United line up with a team that Ten Hag would deem his best.

Defensive options have been stripped to their bare bones with a host of injuries to key figures. In midfield, Mason Mount picked up an injury last month and Sofyan Amrabat joined in the last hours of the window, meaning their involvement has been limited. Forwards Jadon Sancho and Antony are currently unavailable.

MEN Sport has taken a look at how the Reds' starting XI could look if all of Ten Hag's players were available to him.

André Onana starts in goal. The Cameroon goalkeeper has had his critics but he has kept three clean sheets in his first eight games and offers an assurance in possession that David de Gea couldn't.

His strong personality and the backing of Ten Hag should see him thrive.

When fit, Shaw, Martinez and Varane have cemented themselves as go-to starting options. Wan-Bissaka proved his value in the second half of last season and has been rewarded with the right-back berth.

An injury picked up by Wan-Bissaka has given Dalot a chance to re-stake his claim for the position. However, the Portuguese still has a way to go to displace Wan-Bissaka, who has earned the trust of his manager.

Kobbie Mainoo's injury in pre-season was unfortunate as he looked set to compete for a starting place, but the arrival of Amrabat on deadline day helped boost Ten Hag's options. On Tuesday night, the Moroccan showed a versatility that could be very handy.
