Manchester United star Donny van de Beek shares rare recovery update after serious knee injury

Manchester United midfielder Donny van de Beek has shared an encouraging update on his rehabilitation from a serious knee injury that has ruled him out for the rest of the season.

The Netherlands international, who has struggled to live up to expectations since joining United from Dutch giants Ajax in September 2020, suffered the blow during the first half of the Reds' 3-0 win over Bournemouth at Old Trafford on January 3. Van de Beek has since been putting the hard yards in at the club's Carrington training base in his recovery programme and quest to be fit again ahead of pre-season for the 2023/24 campaign. On Monday evening, the Dutchman took to social media to share a positive update on his recovery.

On his Instagram page, Van de Beek, sharing a video of him doing a gym session, wrote: "Trust the process. Step by step."
