Manchester United’s Premier League clash vs Newcastle United rescheduled

Manchester United have had their Premier League away trip to Newcastle United rescheduled after the fixture was selected for live television coverage.

The St James’ Park clash was originally set for 3pm on Saturday, December 2 but kick-off has now been moved to 8pm in the evening. TNT Sports have chosen the match as their live broadcast selection that weekend.

On Wednesday, November 29, United travel to Turkey to take on Galatasaray for a 5.45pm kick-off. Newcastle will have played Paris Saint-Germain in France a day earlier by the time United take to the pitch in midweek.

The clash will be the first Premier League encounter between the two teams this season, although they meet in the League Cup before then. In a repeat of February’s final, United take on the Magpies but this time on home soil at Old Trafford on November 1.

Their last meeting at St James’ Park back in April saw Newcastle run out 2-0 winners, the scoreline by which United defeated Eddie Howe’s side in the League Cup final at Wembley. Their last fixture at Old Trafford ended in a 0-0 draw.

After their late Saturday kick-off against Newcastle in December, United host Chelsea four days later before welcoming Bournemouth three days after that. Bayern Munich come to town three days after the clash with the Cherries for the final Champions
