Manchester United's next six Premier League fixtures compared with Liverpool, Spurs and rivals

Manchester United will begin their sprint to the Premier League finish line with a trip to St James' Park to face fellow top-four hopefuls Newcastle United on Sunday afternoon.

United, who defeated the Magpies 2-0 in the Carabao Cup final at Wembley, will be looking to get back on track after failing to win their last two league matches. After being thumped 7-0 by Liverpool on March 5, United were frustrated by Southampton the following weekend, drawing 0-0.

The Reds, who are currently third in the table on 50 points, have stumbled in the league recently, winning just three of their last eight matches. Being involved in other cup competitions has disrupted their hopes of getting into any sort of fluent rhythm, with their league schedule having had a stop-start feel to it in recent weeks.

However, Sunday's trip to Newcastle, who are just three points behind United in the table, marks the first of three league fixtures in just seven days for Erik ten Hag and his players, meaning an important period in their quest for a top-four finish lies ahead.
