Manchester United receive major injury boost as Rasmus Hojlund defends teammates

Manchester United started the festive period on a high note thanks to a thrilling victory against Aston Villa on Boxing Day.

Unai Emery's visitors had looked on course for three points at Old Trafford when John McGinn and Leander Dendoncker both scored from set pieces. However, Erik ten Hag managed to rally his troops to a spirited comeback.

Alejandro Garnacho led the charge with a brace before Rasmus Hojlund capped off a perfect second half with the winner late on. Fortunately for the Reds, the good news just kept on coming this Wednesday as they were handed an injury boost at Carrington.
