Manchester United 'prepare' Ruben Amorim move as transfer question asked

Manchester United are back in Premier League action today (Saturday) as domestic football officially returns after the international break. Erik ten Hag’s side will be looking to get back to winning ways when they take on Brentford at Old Trafford (3pm kick-off).

United’s last outing saw them pick up a point on their travels as they drew 0-0 with Aston Villa before the international break. It means that the side are winless in their last five matches in all competitions.

That has piled pressure on Ten Hag over the international break. Despite speculation over his future, the Dutchman will lead the club against Brentford. The Bees currently sit in 11th place, two points above United in the table.

Manchester United have reportedly made ‘specific enquiries’ about Ruben Amorim as a potential Erik ten Hag replacement, according to Sky Germany’s Florian Plettenberg. It is reported that United ‘still trust’ Ten Hag, but want to be ‘prepared’ in case a decision over his future has to be made.
