What Casemiro did after Manchester United's friendly defeat to Real Madrid

Manchester United midfielder Casemiro reunited with some former teammates overnight as his side fell to a 2-0 defeat by Real Madrid in Houston.

Goals from Jude Bellingham and Joselu bookended the 90 minutes as United were handed their first defeat of pre-season at the NRG Stadium. Bellingham chipped a cool finish over Andre Onana inside six minutes before summer signing Joselu fired home an athletic bicycle kick with a minute of normal time left.

Casemiro got his first start of pre-season against his former side, having come off the bench during Saturday's 2-0 win over Arsenal. The 32-year-old was among several international players to report for pre-season training a little later, having played well into June with Brazil.
