Haaland, Stones, Ederson, Akanji - Man City injury news and return dates vs Tottenham

Erling Haaland is back in training for Manchester City before the mouth-watering FA Cup tie against Tottenham on Friday night (8pm). The former Borussia Dortmund striker and John Stones are sharpening up their fitness after both players missed a chunk of games over the New Year period due to injury setbacks.

Haaland, 23, has been nursing a troublesome foot problem. Stones, meanwhile, is back in contention for the treble-winners after recovering from an ankle blow he picked up against Everton last month.

First-choice goalkeeper Ederson (unspecified) and Manuel Akanji (leg) will also have to be checked on before their fourth round showdown. Here, we take a closer look at the latest news from City's treatment room, with predicted return dates for Haaland and three other players;

Akanji limped off in the FA Cup win over Huddersfield and no time-frame has been put on his return. Guardiola is expected to speak about the Swiss defender - and his other injured players - when he chats with the media in his pre-match press conference for the Tottenham match.
