Manchester United 'monitoring' Mason Mount's contract situation and more transfer rumours

Manchester United are reportedly monitoring Mason Mount's contract situation at Chelsea as talks stall over a new deal with the London club.

According to ESPN, the 24-year-old, who is out of contract at the end of next season, is also a target for Liverpool and Manchester City. It adds that there has been little progress over an extension to his current deal in recent months, with Mount said to be reluctant to sign a long-term deal with the Blues.

The report states that the England international is looking for a significant increase on his existing wage, which is thought to be around £80,000-a-week. United are in the market for a new midfielder in the summer, and Mount's current contract situation has reportedly put the Reds and other Premier League clubs on alert.

It is thought that Mount is not pushing to leave Stamford Bridge, and talks are expected to continue over a new deal. However, ESPN add that the London club could potentially opt to sell the player given he will only have one year left on his contract.

Elsewhere, 90min report that Neymar has been offered to several Premier League clubs ahead of potential exit from Paris Saint-Germain. It states that intermediaries have spoken with United to inform them of the Brazilian's interest in a move to England, as well as his potential availability.

The report adds that Chelsea, Liverpool, Manchester City and Newcastle United have also been contacted. Neymar is under contract until 2025 and has been impressive this term, recording 17 goals and 16 assists in just 28 games. However, the French giants are thought to be open to letting him leave at the end of the current season.
