Man City 'set asking price' for Bernardo Silva amid Barcelona interest and more transfer rumours

Manchester City have reportedly set their asking price for midfielder Bernardo Silva, with the Portuguese ace once again attracting interest from Barcelona.

According to SPORT, the 28-year-old is open to a move away from the Etihad in the summer, with Barcelona thought to be his desired destination. It adds that City have informed Silva's agent, Jorge Mendes, that they would be prepared to sell the player if the Catalan giants bid around €65million.

Barcelona were keen on signing Silva last summer, but Pep Guardiola was adamant that the midfield ace was not leaving. The report also claims that the Spanish outfit have received orders from La Liga that they need to reduce €200 million from their wage bill in the summer.

Silva has made 288 appearances for the Blues since arriving from Monaco, registering 52 goals and 56 assists. He has won four Premier League titles, four EFL Cups and the FA Cup during his time at the Etihad.

Elsewhere, Fichajes have reported that Real Madrid do not want to spend more than €100m on Borussia Dortmund midfielder Jude Bellingham, which could potentially open the door to City to win the race for his signature.

It comes after reports from the Athletic which claim the German club have set a £132m asking price for the England international, with the 19-year-old expected to depart at the end of the season.

Bellingham is out of contract in 2025, meaning Dortmund can demand a hefty price for him this year. Should City, or Liverpool, make a move for the midfielder, it is likely to be a British transfer record.
