Manchester United might have spent £72million on an injury-prone Hojlund without realising
Before signing for Manchester United, Rasmus Hojlund had missed just two games in his career due to injury.
Hojlund was injury-free during his time with FC Copenhagen and Sturm Graz and picked up the first issue of his career - minor abductor pain - while representing Atalanta. That is at least according to the medical records that are available, which could obviously omit any injuries Hojlund sustained during his time in Copenhagen's academy or elsewhere.
The available data suggests Hojlund rarely picked up injuries but he has sustained hamstring and muscle problems since signing for United. The striker has now missed a total of 14 games through injury since moving to Old Trafford and fans are starting to question whether he is injury-prone.

Hojlund signed for United with a back injury and that meant he watched three matches from the sidelines as he waited to make his debut. “I had a small problem in the start-up in Atalanta, and then they found something on the scanner that had to be respected," said Hojlund after recovering from that problem. "So I’ve had a period here [at United] where I’ve de-loaded a bit, and now I’m ready to give it full throttle again.
“It was a small thing and I have never really been able to feel any pain myself at any time. It was just something that had to be respected and it has been done, so now it’s just out of the way."
Hojlund then tweaked his hamstring against Luton Town in November, which saw him substituted at half-time, and he was absent for United's next game at Goodison Park, but there was an international break between those fixtures and
