Manchester United 'looking to wrap up' Andre Onana signing and other transfer rumours

Manchester United could secure the signing of Andre Onana in the next 72 hours, according to reports.

Italian news outlet Gazzetta dello Sport claim that United are close to reaching an agreement with the Serie A side. After landing Mason Mount from Chelsea, United boss Erik ten Hag has pushed on in his pursuit of Onana - who looks set to replace David De Gea, after the Spaniard's long-stay with the club ended this weekend.

United have seen a couple of bids knocked back by Inter, who are said to value Onana at around €55-60million. Onana is the club's number one goalkeeper target and it has continually been reported in the media that all parties wish to get a deal done. As reported by MEN Sport, United's football director, John Murtough, has been involved in extensive talks with the Italian club.

Elsewhere, United winger Amad is reportedly a target for promoted duo Burnley and Sheffield United. After shining for Sunderland last season in the Championship, the Ivorian has been linked with Southampton already this summer. He netted 14 goals for the Black Cats and Football Insider claim that Amad now has two more clubs chasing his signature.

And while it is suggested that Amad will get his opportunity to impress Ten Hag in pre-season, another loan spell is being mooted as the most likely outcome for the 20-year-old.
