Manchester United 'learn Goncalo Ramos asking price' and more transfer rumours

Benfica are reportedly open to selling Goncalo Ramos for the right price this summer.

The striker scored 27 goals for his club this season as he guided them to the Portuguese title. Ramos hit the headlines in December when he scored a hat-trick against Switzerland at the World Cup on his first international start.

Ramos is one of the strikers on Manchester United boss Erik ten Hag’s radar as he explores possible Harry Kane alternatives. Randal Kolo Muani of Eintracht Frankfurt, Atalanta attacker Rasmus Hojlund, Napoli’s Victor Osimhen and Ajax's Mohammed Kudus also make the shortlist.

United are yet to contact Benfica about Ramos but the Portuguese champions have told agent Jorge Mendes that they would be willing to sell his client for £80million plus add-ons, the Mirror report. 21-year-old Ramos has already chalked up more than 100 appearances for Benfica.

Meanwhile, it is being reported that Atalanta have rejected a bid for Hojlund. Italian outlet Tutto Atalanta don't specify who but claim the offer was from a ‘Premier League club’.

United have held talks with the 20-year-old over a potential summer switch. The Dane netted 16 goals and tallied seven assists this season having also notched five goals in two games for his country in March.

Speaking about a potential move to Old Trafford this week, Hojlund said: “It's a huge club, so I must have done something right if it says they want me. My goal is to reach the top shelf, and you can say that Manchester United is. So it will be huge.”

Hojlund has four years remaining on his deal having only joined Atalanta in August.
