Manchester United have 'Month of Death' after Premier League fixtures reveal

The Premier League fixtures have been announced for the upcoming season. Erik ten Hag's first match as Manchester United boss will be against Brighton and Hove Albion and they will also face Liverpool and Arsenal in the first six games.

This would be a difficult task for any manager, but this could be considered an easier run of games for Ten Hag as in October he has an even harder test. The month begins with a trip to the Etihad where the Dutchman will take on the Premier League champions Manchester City.

United will be hoping to pick up some points on the road against Everton the following weekend and they will need it as Newcastle United visit Old Trafford on October 15th. Eddie Howe's team improved dramatically in the second half of the season and they will be investing in the team this summer, making the game more than a walk in the park.

Antonio Conte's Tottenham Hotspur are the next visitors to Old Trafford. The Italian manager is being seriously backed in the transfer market this summer by the London club's owners and after signing Ivan Perisic and Fraser Forster on a free transfer, they are expected to add Yves Bissouma next, with a deal for Djed Spence also in the offing.

United have a trip to Chelsea next and they will be hoping to impress new owner Todd Boehly. The final match of the month is against West Ham United and if the club fail to win this game, alongside dropping points in the other matches, question marks may begin to be raised over Ten Hag's tenure early on.
