Manchester United have clear midfield plan as 'talks' continue over £30m star

Manchester United are reportedly targeting moves for two midfielders before the window slams shut on August 30.

Erik ten Hag is thought to be prioritising a move for a midfielder, having welcomed both Leny Yoro and Joshua Zirkzee so far. The club has been linked with a plethora of options, and it's understood Manuel Ugarte still features highly in their list of targets.

Elsewhere, talks are continuing between United and Burnley for Sander Berge, reports Sky Sports. The club are keen to complete a deal for the Norwegian, who is open to a move to Old Trafford.

He is one of many players said to be on United's radar alongside Monaco's Youssouf Fofana and Adrien Rabiot. As negotiations are ongoing with Burnley, the midfielder was left out of Burnley's squad for their Championship opener against Luton Town.

Berge is valued in the region of £30million by Burnley, having joined the Clarets just last summer from Sheffield
