Manchester United have a decision to make on Shola Shoretire after Chelsea masterclass

It has certainly not been the start to the season that Manchester United U21's were hoping for. The youngsters are currently third bottom in the Premier League 2 table and have failed to win a single game in nine attempts. They sit on six points having lost three with only Tottenham and West Ham below them.

With some talented stars in their ranks, the underwhelming form is definitely surprising. There is certainly an argument to suggest that the U21s are often left without one or two of their 'better' players due to their involvement with the first-team, but the performances, and more importantly the results, have been incredibly disappointing.

Although the 3-3 draw with Chelsea on Saturday afternoon demonstrated where exactly the Reds need to improve, it also provided one player with another opportunity to show his quality - in a game that was starved of it for much of the 90 minutes.

Shola Shoretire was the saviour for the U21s as the attacker grabbed a quick-fire brace deep into stoppage time to somehow salvage a point for United. The 18-year-old reduced the deficit to 3-2 five minutes into added time, before finding the net again just 30 seconds later to stun Chelsea.

His double against the London club took him to three goals in six matches so far this term, with the attacker also registering an assist in the draw with Brighton last weekend. Shoretire's performance against Chelsea once again got United fans talking - with the question very much the same among supporters: what now?
