Manchester United handed transfer exit hope as Manuel Ugarte alternative identified

Manchester United are working behind the scenes to bring in more signings to Old Trafford as they look to challenge for titles in the 2024/25 season.

So far Joshua Zirkzee and Leny Yoro have reinforced the squad, joining from Bologna and Lille respectively. Both have the ambition of earning a regular spot in Erik ten Hag's side this term.

United will have two more friendly games in the United States against Real Betis and Liverpool before returning to the UK. Before kicking off their season to Fulham at home, they will face Manchester City in the FA Community Shield final on August 10.

MEN Sport takes a look at the latest transfer news and provides a different perspective on them.

According to TEAMtalk, two Saudi Pro League clubs are expected to engage in fresh talks with United for Casemiro. United are looking to bring in another midfielder this summer and have been linked with the likes of Manuel Ugarte and Adrien Rabiot.

If a transfer was to materialise, Casemiro, one of the highest earners at Old Trafford, would likely be pushed towards the exit door, with the club looking to balance their books. Casemiro has remained a top target for the Saudi League, however it is thought that no club have officially put in an offer on the table yet.

The midfielder's agent is said to have already met with different Saudi clubs in past weeks but only Al Ahli and Al Qadisiya are believed to have asked for additional information. With his contract expiring in 2026, United are said to have valued him at around £25-£29million (€30-35m).
