Manchester United handed injury boost as Erik ten Hag verdict given

Manchester United’s injury list has been shortened ahead of Tuesday’s League Cup tie with Crystal Palace.

Two players are back in contention for the clash as United begin their defence of their title. Lisandro Martinez is not one, though, having sustained an issue ahead of the 1-0 win over Burnley on Saturday.

He could have a defensive colleague back in the line-up at Old Trafford in midweek while Jonny Evans - who may get a second consecutive start - has hailed the work of Erik ten Hag since his summer return to his boyhood club.

The midfielder was given more time and he's now expected to be available for selection against Palace on Tuesday night.
