Manchester United handed dream Bruno Fernandes suspension scenario after Liverpool draw

Manchester United have been handed a significant boost in their race for Champions League football run-in following Sunday's Premier League draw with fierce rivals Liverpool.

Bruno Fernandes avoided a yellow card against Jurgen Klopp's men meaning he is unable to reach the 10-card threshold to serve a suspension. The yellow card counter cuts off after a club's first 32 games meaning the midfielder can no longer reach 10 yellow cards this season.

Fernandes has been booked eight times in the Premier League this season meaning he will avoid a possible suspension for collecting 10 bookings after 32 games. Had he been booked by Anthony Taylor against Liverpool, he would face a two-game suspension with another yellow card at Bournemouth next week.
