Manchester United fans sent into frenzy as club teases Roy Keane announcement

Manchester United supporters' excitement levels grew on Monday morning after the club shared a teasing video of Roy Keane at Old Trafford on social media.

Keane is rarely involved with United these days but emerged from the shadows in a short clip which prompted plenty of reaction from fans. Unfortunately for Keane lovers, he is merely expected to be involved in the marketing campaign for United's third kit, and is unlikely to be joining Erik ten Hag's coaching team next season.

United's kits for the 2023/2024 campaign have divided opinion so far, with home and away designs currently out on sale. The club's famous red home shirt, complete with a red rose pattern, has been very well-received but the green-and-white striped away number hasn't gone down so well.

Multiple leaks of the third kit have been posted online in recent weeks, with suggestions it will be a clean white design. The most notable decision comes with the removal of United's club crest and addition of a red devil in it's place.

And fans look set to finally get a chance to see the design in an official manner, with a tweet on Monday morning hinting at its release on Tuesday morning.

It is unclear when United will don the third shirt for the first time next season, with pre-season - the usual time in which all kits are on show - over, following Sunday's 1-1 draw against Athletic Bilbao.

The new football season is nearly upon us and with 500 live games to watch, as well access to Cricket, Golf, F1, Boxing, NFL and the NBA across eight dedicated channels, Sky Sports is the only way to watch all the action.
