Manchester United's away day struggles continued as they fell to a 2-0 loss to Tottenham Hotspur in north London on Saturday.

Pape Sarr’s strike and a Lisandro Martinez own goal consigned United to defeat as the club's troubles on the road continued from last season. The Reds claimed just 27 of their 75 Premier League points away from Old Trafford last campaign, losing to every other side in the top six on their travels.

Saturday's defeat has led to plenty of criticism for Erik ten Hag and his players, with former captain Roy Keane saying the players lacked the fight to win away from home. "I think Manchester United are the new Spurs. Desperate," Keane told Sky Sports after the defeat. "The biggest insult… I always think about teams that can’t do it away from home or players who aren't up for it away from home."
