Manchester United 'eye up' striker dubbed 'better than Erling Haaland' and more transfer rumours

Manchester United have been linked with a move for a 19-year-old striker who has been dubbed 'better than Erling Haaland' by his teammates.

According to the Daily Star, Red Bull Salzburg's Benjamin Sesko is on United's radar with the Reds keeping 'close tabs' on the player. Erik ten Hag's side are believed to be one of a handful of clubs interested in his services and, should he complete a move to Old Trafford, he may well be the best striker in Manchester according to his teammates.

The youngster told Goal how his teammates have said his speed and style of play are similar to that of the Norweigan, with some even claiming that Sesko is better than Haaland. A player with such ability at his age will not come cheap and the Austrian club are believed to be demanding a fee of £55m for his services.

Elsewhere, the Mirror report that Monaco striker Wissam Ben Yedder is on United's list of potential replacements should Cristiano Ronaldo leave the club.

The 31-year-old had a superb season in Ligue 1 as he scored a staggering 25 goals in 37 appearances to help Monaco finish third in the French league. The striker has now been linked with a move to Old Trafford as a replacement for the five-time Ballon d'Or winner should he leave this summer.
